Silverado Child Care Center

I have taught at the Silverado Children's center for 9 years now. I originally came to do a preschool review for one of my college classes. I fell inlove with the school and staff and asked for a teaching position when I graduated. I had planned to move on after a couple years to finish my BA but haven't left. I love the children and the canyon community and feel the need to help the children grow to become our future leaders of tomorrow. I highly recommend this school for prechool and afterschool care. Lots of outdoor play, creative learning, animal care and community outreach. It's a lovely 'home away from Home!'

My grand-daughter has been attending SCC for the past two years. The teachers allow her to express her creativity as well as her individuality. She has learned how to interact with other children, and when the day has ended she doesn't want to leave! And she loves her gymnastics class!All of the staff are completely dedicated to the kids, as well as the parents. This school is the second best environment for a child to learn and grow in.

My kids have been going to Silverado Children's Center for years and it really is their home-away-from-home. The staff is always so kind and friendly to the children and the atmosphere is always happy and relaxed. The school has always been really flexible with our schedule too. We love it!!!

My son has been attending Silverado Children's Center for the past 21/2 years. His first 2 years were for preschool. Currently he attends after kindergarten. SCC has been a fabulous place for my son to grow and mature under the guidance of some wonderful teachers. They have allowed him to be an individual and express himself as such, while at the same time he has learned to work with others and simply deal with the world around him. I feel this is so important in todays society. I would recommend this wonderful little school to anyone who wishes their child to be well rounded and excited to go to school!

I have had my daughter at this school for the past two years and I have to say, the teachers are some of the most hands on teachers I have met. There is a pony and a pig that the children learn to take care of. They practice a 'grow food' policy so the kids are not filled up on junk food, and most of all, the children have freedom to express thier creativity here. One of the things my daughter really enjoys is the fundraisers, like the Chili Cook-Off which is held every year.
