Seal Beach Playgroup

If you are looking for a co-op preschool, you must check out Seal Beach Playgroup! Miss Candace (teacher/director) is AMAZING!!! She has created a happy, supportive and safe environment for our kids to learn in while they are at play. And at this age, toddlers learn best through play. My daughter is in her second year and still says how much she LOVES SCHOOL! The parents volunteer to work about 2 days a month, and it's a great opportunity to get to know the other children in the class and their parents. I have been extremely happy and would recommend Seal Beach Playgroup to anyone who is looking for a supportive and positive first school experience. I don't live in Seal Beach, but it's worth the drive, and I definitely feel included. It is a true community at this school.

My daughter is in her second year at SBPG and loves it. The teacher/director is amazing; she follows a play-based curriculum that instills a love of learning in the children. The membership is very dedicated and as a first time mom, I have found the school s teacher and its membership to be such a resource for me. My daughter has learned to feel comfortable while mom and dad are away, to share with her friends and has had some very memorable and unique learning experiences at SBPG. While the curriculum is not academically based, the children are remarkably advanced which I attribute to the high-level of teacher/parent involvement and the love of learning that they develop at the school. I would recommend this school very highly. The school itself is housed in a city-owned building and it is older, hence the 4-star rating. However, the actual materials, games and equipment are very good and would compare to any newer or private facility.

My daughter is in the Jr Class (3-4yrs) and loves it. The parents do so much to make this a wonderful learning environment. The teacher is amazing and really understands how to connect with all of the children. After looking at many preschools, I am very happy my daughter ended up at SBPG.
