My name is Tracy Jones.I have worked at Growing Tree for 27 years. I believe that we have done a great job of taking care of the young children of Seal Beach. Many of these children are grown..Yet they come by now and then to share a smile and a hug. This is my reward and I am very proud of my work.

Excellent school! All my children have attended Growing Tree, my youngest will be graduating this year. My older kids still love to go in and visit the teachers when we pick up my son. Great little school, definately going to miss it next year, especially that small town mom and pop atmosphere.

Growing Tree has been a wonderful experience for both my son and I. I brought my son to the school over the summer, as we had just moved to the area. He had a hard time adjusting to all the changes of a move, at first. But I truly believe that the staff at Growing tree have been a big part in helping his transition and growth in a very positive way! The director, Seretta, takes a very involved approach with each of the children, and she is great at communicating with the parents. My son tends to be a bit of the attention seeker in the class, and Seretta has even taken the time to sit down w/me, and figure out an approach that would work specific for him and his progress. And it has made a big difference! I can honestly say that this is a school that has a sincere desire to look at children as individuals and impact them in the most positive way they can in their education process. I have also heard nothing but great things from all the other parents at Growing Tree. Overall it's a very happy environment for both children and parents.

I find it interesting that the two bad reviews sound the same... Sunburn? Yelling??? My daughter was at this school for two years and I never heard anyone yell at this school, or even raise their voice! It was such a wonderful experience for us, and for her. She asks to go back and visit all the time, as she is now in Kindergarten. Seretta is very involved, and if she thinks anything is wrong with a child, or they are having any problems, the parents are notified immediately. Everyone in Seal Beach knows this is a great preschool, even the principal at the nearby school!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Growing Tree and it's staff. The Director is amazing and is very involved in the community. BOTH my children go there and we have never had a complaint. It is so much more a school than it is a day care and we love that! The kids will be so well prepared for Kindergarten. They even assisted both my girls in potty training. I truly feel like family there and will miss it greatly when the girls out grow it.

3/9/2011 My child has been at Growing Tree for almost 2 years now and we have NEVER had a problem with any of the teachers or the environment provided at this school. The director is a fabulous woman who has owned and operated this school for over 25 years. It is a landmark in the Seal Beach community and almost everyone I have met has had friends or kids that have attended Growing Tree and have loved it. If you are considering sending your child to Growing Tree, investigate for yourself and you will find that it is a wonderful place for kids to learn and be creative!! Was this review ? 3/17/2011 User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars by Greekpete 03/17/2011 My daughter was a student at Growing Tree Pre-School from 2008 - 2010. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and curriculum at this pre-school. The staff was always attentive to our concerns and was effectively engaged in all correspondence and communications. In fact, the staff was like an extended family for us and we fully trusted and appreciated the attention to our daughter's every need and concern. In terms of curriculum, my daughter was always pushed in terms of academics, interpersonal relationships, giving back to society and her own self-expression. They learn academics, music appreciation, world cultures, physical fitness, and fine arts. Additionally, they hold an annual trike-a-thon to raise awareness (and financial support) for a children's hospital. I thank the staff at Growing Tree for preparing her for a successful experience in school. Edit Remove Send to a Friend Link to This Review

Our son has attended Growing Tree for over a year now and continues to love going there each week. The teachers and director are great! The program is a great way to prepare kids for elementary school. They have great academic activities and arts and crafts every day. Our son has made several friends here, and we have a great relationship with our son's teachers!!

My son has been attending the school for 7 months now and LOVES it. He has blossomed and has learned so much, socially and emotionally he has grown. The school is not just a "daycare"; the program is enriched with academics and arts/crafts. I like the teachers and the director. They have always answered my questions and tended to my concerns, if I had any. I definitely recommend the school. E. Cook
