When we were evaluating preschools, two things convinced us this was the school for us: how long the lead teachers had been with the school and how engaged the children were in the classroom. We evaluated several schools this way and kept seeing the same thing - 3 or 4 children clustered around the teacher and the rest of the children running amok. It wasn't surprising because in response to our questions, we learned teacher tenure at the other schools we looked at was on average only 1-4 years. We knew Foothill Montessori was the right school for us when we visited it and watched how the children were behaving in the classroom. It's amazing how focused and engaged they were - there was the usual cluster of 3-4 kids around the teacher, but all of the other kids in the class were seated at tables and deeply engaged in their work (preschoolers!)! Also, when we asked, each of the lead teachers (1 per class) had been with the school for over 9 years (at the time, 13 years in the case of one teacher). Since choosing the school we've had the opportunity to evaluate it over a period of years and can confirm our initial impressions held true. We recommend it very highly.

I have to work and therefore need my son to attend preschool everyday, all day. He is always happy to go to school and when I pick him up he is not always rushing to go home. He is kept challenged but not pushed or forced to learn. Most of the families have beens sending all of their children for many years which gives a family environment. The administrator runs the school in a focused, consistent, and professional manner. It is similar to a headmaster.

Absolutely the wrong attitude from the administrator and staffs. This school does not even meet a one star rating. The state and county should inspect this school more often

One of the best schools in the area. It's safe and excels academically. We are so happy that we sent our children here. We'll be using their AfterSchool Program.

Safety is big issue. Very non-professional attitude. Good teachers and good parent involvement but as parents move away this is going to fall apart.
