My kid is in his first year at Parker at the PM class. His creative abilities and appetite to write and spell words is amazing. I just moved from Europe to SF 3yrs ago and was very nervous about the school system and decided to not send my kid too soon. That was a mistake. I should have sent my kid to parker the year before, my insecurity I guess. Teachers are great, new headmaster is great, other families are great a real sense of community. Can't rate this school high enough. Sensible play based learning that encourages curiosity. Only problem I have is I run out of room for the art projects on the wall. Not a bad compliant!!

This has been a wonderful school, with an excellent teaching staff. While there have been a number of director changes, it has had not impact on the children due to the teachers who are the heart and soul of this play based school. The children are extremely happy, and are able to develop and grow in a supportive and nurturing environment. I couldn't recommend it more, and the proof is in the ease one feels in sending a child off to this great school each day. PS - there is a new Director at the school who seems to be a positive addition and has assimilated quickly into the School and great parent community.

I disagree with the parent who believes that Parker is only for the perfect child. The school works beautifully for 99% of the population, but is not set up to deal with those who have significant behavioral issues. The new director (who had been a teacher at the school for a number of years before being appointed) is terrific and the staff have handled all the directoral changes so well that it has not affected the children at all. We have had children at Parker for five years and would thoroughly recommend it. The pre-k program, in particular, is excellent and highly rated by private schools' admissions directors around the city.

We have been at Parker for 3yrs. and love. The school have gone through some transition but now has a great new director. It's a very nurturing environment and the teachers are great. The parent communityis very friendly and down to earth.

This school was fantastic when we first attended but has had major turnover both in Director position (4 in 3 years) and in teaching staff. The school is fantastic for the 'perfect' child but struggles to support the other 99% of the population when any challenging or less than perfect behavior occurs. For any child that doesn't fit squarely in the box, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
