My first child attended Noe Valley Nursery School 8 years ago. And now we're back with child #2! The safe and nurturing environment that enables them to build a positive self-image, cultivate positive social relationship through play, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Being involved in the school allows us to see our little one flourish. My first child had the best time in NVNS and now my second child is having a great time too! She looks forward to come to school every day. Visit the school website for upcoming events and open houses, and/or to schedule a tour.
We're in our second year at NVNS and we're very happy with it. As a play-based school, the children enjoy the freedom to become involved in art projects, games, manipulative toys and puzzles, stories, and dramatic play. The director, Susan Edwards, is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and is able to address the specific needs of most every child while setting the tone for a supportive and nurturing environment for children and parents alike. NVNS is a cooperative school which means it's a lot of work for parents, but it has been well worth it. We've learned a great deal about our child and the developmental and emotional needs of other kids while becoming part of a strong and loving community of families.
Our mission is to inspire and support families to champion their children's education - at
school, at home and in their community. We are a national non-profit with offices and programs
in Oakland, Milwaukee, Washington D.C. and Indianapolis.
