Top tier early childhood education and environment in a beautiful new building on Dolores Street. Our sons have florished there. Holy Family provides a safe, nurturing, learning environment, with enough structure to give kids some context to their play-based learning. This is a choice for working parents and proivides hot lunches and snacks, as well as all day classes.

Extremely well-funded non-profit, non-sectarian (despite name) school with financial aid available on the basis of need. Very active teachers who give parents frequent feedback. Terrific student-teacher ratio (1:8), plus often also a classroom volunteer (1:6). Exceptionally well-run school administration; kind and caring concierge/front-door staff. Beautiful facility, large and lovely outdoor playspace (giant play structure, huge sand pit, tricycle yard, model house, etc). Has its own chef and kitchen. Genuine ethnic and socio-economic diversity, rather than the ersatz kind proffered by a lot of schools. Truly reflects the city we live in. Lots of extra free programs. Located in a very beautiful and historic part of San Francisco, opposite Mission Dolores Basilica, Congregation Sha'ar Zahav, and a Lutheran Church, and 2 blocks from the glorious Dolores Street park.
