McKinley Montessori is the best preschool education that you can imagine. The teachers are amazing, with years of experience and a level of education that goes beyond what you could expect even at the most expensive kindergarten. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and loving. My husband and I are inclined to be critical but there is not a single thing that I would change about the school. My son is starting at Country Day and appears to be much more advanced than any of the other children in his learning, his confidence, and his social skills. I would recommend getting on the waiting list while you are pregnant, as it takes a long time. But it is well worth it and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I never write reviews but for this school I am compelled to do so. We have been so fortunate to have our daughters at this amazing home-away-from-home school. I hesitate to even call it a school because it doesn't feel that way. If you are lucky enough to get yourself in the school as the wait list is understandably long, you'll be rewarded with one of the best environments that you wish to expose your children to grow in. The teachers are caring, passionate about their job while being structured and providing a ground work for life long love of learning. When my oldest daughter turned 5, we had the option of taking her to another private kindergarten vs. leaving her at MMS to continue to benefit from the education and enthusiasm of her teachers who truly loved and cared for her. As she has moved on to first grade now (sigh), I am thankful that my younger one has two more years of love and fun to be the foundation of her life long educational basis. As a working mother, I couldn't ask for more. I am completely thankful for all that this school stands for. Get on the waiting list NOW :)

You can't ask for a better place for your child. Everyone should get their start at McKinley Montessori. It's heaven.

My daughter and I were so lucky to have found this school when we moved to Sacramento. Christine and Josie took such great care of my little one while I was at work and Rebecca and Kathleen were so supportive with any questions I had about her learning and socialization. I can't thank them enough for helping me raise the smart happy preteen that she is today. She still talks about Mckinley Montessori with many fond memories.

I think I loved this school as much as my son who graduated last year. There is an atmosphere of peace at this school where the children are all allowed to develop individually and taught to respect each other. The owners are dedicated and find excellent staff who are creative and loving. The teachers includes the owner of a local yoga studio and a graduate from the Chicago Art Institute. Beware the waiting list is long and they do not prorate for part time. I felt it was worth every penny. My son became confident, independant, could read when he left and is still intersted in creative arts. If only the owners would start an elementary school...
