I am not happy with the education and care my child is getting from this school. My child does not come home with projects or worksheets ever, and complains that someone has hit, pushed, or kicked my child. I saw my childs teacher grocery shopping while she was suppose to be teaching class. My child attend a different preschool and we did not have these issues. I am not sure what goes on during the time spent at school. I would not send additional children to this program.
We have had a wonderful experience with PLCDC. The staff work well with the children at the CDC and I like the fact that each age has a different curriculum. Creative curriculum for 2's, Scholastic for 3,s and Houghton Mifflin for Pre-k. My children feel like family at the CDC. Thank you teachers and staff for making my children feel so important.
We have had a great experience with the CDC. The teachers are caring and are consistently balancing a nurturing environment and strong educational goals. My daughter is more than ready for kindergarten after two years here. The administrator is welcoming, and works well with parents. She is very open to listening to and solving any issues that may arise, and trying to find a good teacher/student match. I am a very picky parent and work in education, and I have been very happy with this neighborhood school.
This school has great staff that CARE about the children they're teaching. The environment is really supportive and fun for the kids and the class sizes are relatively small (8-12 kids for teacher + aide). The teachers develop their curriculum and communicate their learning goals frequently with us as parents so we can carryover at home. My child has Ms. Dulce and she has a very calm, kind, but firm approach in her classroom. This is my first preschool experience with my child and I could not be happier. We looked at Fusion as well but the neighborhood was a concern for me. PLCDC is adjacent to Rio Del Oro Elementary campus and embedded in the south Plumas Lake neighborhood. I know parents who have kids in both Fusion and PLCDC, and all are happy with their school, but the Olivehurst location of Fusion was a deal breaker for me because it backs right up to some very scary apartments and is also right off a very busy street. BTW, the direct number to the school is 743-4895, the other number here is the Superintendent of schools direct line.
teacher is awesome, my son has learned a lot. wouldnt have him anywhere else. He will be ready for kindergarten without a doubt
