This is a school with certain teachers that are uncaring, rude to the children and just plainly disqualified as a caregiver. We enrolled our child in this school, paid the deposit, and were then allowed to schedule a 2 hours visit to the assigned classroom. It was during our lengthy visit to the assigned classroom that we discovered how rude and impatient the teachers were in handling the kids. They rushed the kids through different "programs", cut them off from finishing their sentences when the kids took a bit longer to organize their thoughts, shuffled them in a rough way and showed no genuine interest in the well being of the children. We have another child who attended another preschool so we are not new in this arena, but were never so horrified by what we have seen during our visit at Hacienda Child Center. We requested a withdrawal of enrollment immediately and were informed that we would not be able to get our deposit back even though our child never attended 1 day of school. They hv no waiting list, and just took $1200 of hard earned money like that. As working parent, the last thing that you want to have to worry is the well-being of your kid while you are at work
This review is two reviews in one, because both my children attend this center, one in the toddlers room and one in the pre-school. Having recently moved here from out of state, I am impressed with the quality of the teachers and caregivers at this school. My older child is reading and writing well(Pre-K), developing leadership skills, learning Spanish and Mandarin, and truly flourishing here. My younger one is expanding her vocabulary rapidly. Even when I drop in unannounced to the classes I see the toddlers being engaged by a caregiver in the proper way-- no tv, lots of arts, great (multiple) playspaces, nice outdoor area, wonderful location. This school has professional caregivers
This was a great place for our daughter to spend her initial years. There was great emphasis on leadership skills by making each child the leader of the day. The concept of a multi-cultural society was imbibed by asking parents from different cultures to speak on occasions important for the culture.
