Milestones has been a terrific school for my typically developing twins. I find the inclusion atmosphere has really given them a rich experience and just the right level of structure. The teachers are excellent and better than I have observed in most pre-schools in Palo Alto. They really spend a great deal of time crafting an interesting curriculum to prepare them for Kindergarten. Each child gets so much individual attention. My kids jump for joy to attend Milestones and will be very sorry to leave since they have so many friends there.
Milestones is an amazing preschool. My son graduated from there this summer and is doing well in kindergarten now, largely due to the wonderful preparation for that leap that he received at Milesones. the teachers could not be more loving and warm, and they recognize that a good preparation for kindergarten is as much about social-emotional development as it is about knowing your ABC. I cannot recommend this place more highly!
Milestones is a wonderful preschool that does an amazing job of integrating kids with special needs into a program that is fun and age appropriate for typically developing children. My daughter LOVES going to school and talks about her friends and teachers all the time. I feel so lucky to have found a place where she can learn, play and belong just like everyone else.
Our daughter started Milestone last Fall after one year at another preschool. The reason we changed schools is because we wanted her to have a richer preschool experience. At Milestones, the teachers are warm and loving and the program is rich in socialization. In addtion, Milestones helps each child develop fundamental skills in language and movement. My daughter loves all the activities and feels engaged and supported by her teachers through all the wonderful and interactive centers. She looks forward to school each day and talks constantly about her teachers and her friends at school. We have definitely seen an improvement in her overall socialization and confidence. The teacher at Milestones are dedicated to working with the children through a multiple of well designed activities that support individual growth and successes. It is truely a remarkable program.
If your child is ready for preschool, you absolutely need to check out this open house at Milestones. The teachers are plentiful, highly educated and, most importantly, caring. Cole has made some tremendous strides since he started at the shool. He understands more complex thoughts, has improved ability to articulate his wants and needs and his desire to help clean up, play with others ect has flourished . Milestones was the best choice we've made yet for out little guy!
Milestones has been excellent for my typically-developing son. It is a structured preschool environment which is very warm and nurturing. There are a variety of activities focusing on all areas of development and he is learning a lot. For me as a parent, there is a lot of feedback from teachers on my child's progress. And when I have concerns, I also have access to other great child development experts, such as speech therapists and behavioral consultants, who have given me invaluable advice on my child's development.
Our son is the the MWF 3's class. We have been so impressed with the Milestones program. The environment is both nuturing and enriching. The program is a nice balance of play and great activities often based on classic children's books. Our son loves the art activities, the music and the baking. The teachers are loving and supportive. We are very happy with this program and highly recommend it.
