The teacher-to-student ratios are the best out there, which was important to me experiencing the opposite somewhere else. In my situation- 4 teachers: 8 students! They keep a personal portfolio on my child's social, academic, emotional development that includes their artwork, sayings and achievements/milestones which I treasure. We have Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Tressa this year and my daughter has been thriving. I admit I was very nervous to leave my not-yet-3 year old in preschool so early but now I wish I started sooner. I just learned that they have a few spaces open in enrollment (School Year fall 2014) so call them if you're interested in starting up!

My son is currently enrolled in the program, started in the two year old class with Teacher Melanie, and she was amazing. Very nurturing, child focused, available, and communicated with each parent daily. He is now in the preschool program with teacher Amy and Angie and they are equally amazing. The director needs some work with her professional appearance and how she presents herself to parents but we found she is not a reflection of the work the teachers do in the classroom. our concern is the quality of the teachers and how happy our son is at school. The teachers did a home visit at the beginning of the year.... They came to our house to meet our son so he could see they were safe people and we could connect with them on a one on one basis. Wonderful and amazing program... Would not go ANYWHERE else. Open to students and non-student families. Price is worth every single penny, would recommend this program to every parent in the SIMI, Moorpark, and Thousand Oaks area.

Wonderful preschool program. My twins are currently enrolled in preschool here and we have had a great experience so far. The principal is great (she's new..I mention because of the previous review). I love the teacher student ratios. The entire staff is sweet. The teachers and principal go out of their way to get to know the families. This is a lab school which means there are always students from Moorpark college coming to the classrooms for observation, etc. There is an observation room in each classroom so occasionally I can stop by and see what the kids are doing. My kids love going to school here. The campus and classrooms are very well maintained. I chose this school because of my first impression the first day I walked in. The principal was very attentive, the campus was clean, huge playground, well maintained toys & learning stations. Great investment. There is a waiting list so make sure you don't wait until the last minute.

We experienced very mixed feelings about this preschool. While the facility and playground are beautiful and clean, the teachers are not all good here. One nice feature is the viewing rooms for each class (so you can observe your child's interaction with the teacher, aids and other children). Be forewarned, some teachers aggressively label the children (typical the younger, active boys). The director is nice but uninvolved (dedicated to teaching her college students and no involvement with the preschool children and their families). In addition, many parents were uppity with (frankly) spoiled children. I think there are much more balanced preschool programs available in the area.

The best program around. My daughter attends here and I had searched for preschools for a year prior until I heard about this program. They are accredited, have wonderful ratios, the teachers take time to get to know the entire family and they have a superior curriculum by taking the time to know my child - highly recommend

Love this program and its staff! Both my daughter and son attended the toddler program (18mths to 3) and then moved on to the Preschool program at CDC. They both loved every day that they attended. The staff truely cares about the children and takes the time to really get to know each of them. They also hold their annual Discovery Day event which is an amazing day for the kids.
