Sunshine House Martinez

This daycare/preschool is fabulous. I have a 5 year old and a 2.5 year old attending and they love it. They offer a large variety of learning activities for the children that are engaging and fun. The teachers are very caring and attentive. The facility itself is very clean and cheerful looking. My children are excited to attend everyday and my oldest doesn't want to go home at the end of the day! I would recommend the school to anyone looking for quailty care with great learning opportunities for their little ones.

Sunshine House is more than a preschool to us, it is a community of teachers that are warm and patient; dedicated to the students and treat each child as an individual. Although my son has been in this program for less than a year, we are beyond pleased. We knew this was the right fit from our first visit. My then 20 month old son played outside with the other kids and when they were asked to line up for Circle Time, he fell right in stride and took his place on the floor with the other 2 year olds. I watched him listen to stories intently and sing songs with the others. Suffice it to say, my son started the day he turned 2. We love that he can choose the majority of his activities throughout the day. He loves being outside and, at Sunshine House, he can play in the Bikes and Ball areas, the Climbing area or head to the huge sandbox. When I pick him up, he always has a smile on his face and the teachers always have a funny story to share for the day. It is apparent they enjoy him as much as we do and that gives me such pleasure (and relief) as a parent. We highly recommend this school and can't wait to start our daughter the moment she turns 2 and she is only 4 months old!

I knew as soon as I walked into Sunshine House and my daughter ran off to play with the other children that this was a good place for her to be. She had been so shy about every other preschool we had visited. She has been attending Sunshine house for a year and a half now and I am still every bit as pleased today as I was the first day. The curriculum is excellent and age appropriate, growing as your child grows. My friends and family are always impressed with the verbal skills my daughter has as well as her grasp of basic concepts such as shapes, colors, number and so much more. The school is well equipped with educational toys, games and learning materials as well as a very large outdoor play area to increase gross motor skills. I would highly recommend Sunshine house to every parent I know.

My 4 year old daughter is a student at Sunshine House, and we are just thrilled with our experience there. We find the teachers to be professional, warm, knowledgable, helpful and kind. We are delghted by the progress our daughter had made socially and in regards to her behavior. We appreciate the attention to detail and the willingness on the part of the teachers to spend time discussing our daughter's progress with us. We also are delighted by the topics and themes presented and taught, and the overall environment of education and warmth. We conifidently recommend Sunshine House to all parents.

The most important factor in your child's development is the adults in their life...you and the other indivduals that care for them. What is the point of filling their minds with facts and figures, if they haven't been treated with love to be able to learn to love themselves and others. That given, Sunshine House has an incredible learning program. Your child will have the opportunity to grow and develop in all areas...Sunshine House teachers are child development specialist preparing children for a fast start in kindergarten and beyond. Thank you Sunshine House! My son has been with the school for 6 months now and I ve noticed that he has become more confident, independent, well-mannered, inquisitive, and has developed a love for learning! The teachers in Sunshine House are caring, loving, fun-loving, and need to be, firm. I love that Sunshine has a learn-through-play philosophy that emphasize on character development, building self-confidence, manners, social skills and self-reliance, not just academic excellence.

We love Sunshine House. Both our 5 year old and our 2 year old attend and they really enjoy their time at school. The teachers are engaged with the kids, caring, and do a great job teaching both academic and social skills. The school provides both structured and unstructured activites so the kids are able to really talor their day to their own preferences and personality. The age groups are not separated which provides a great opportunity for the little ones to challenge themselves to keep up with the older kids and helps the older kids learn to be empathetic and helpful with the little kids. We get a monthly calendar that keeps us updated on the daily curriculum and activities and we enjoy hearing both kids talk about all they have done at the end of each day. We highly recommend this school.

Thank You isn't nearly enough.... the amazing teachers at Sunshine House have a dedication to the children in teaching responsibility, citizenship, self-reliance, confidence, friendship, and intelligence. Don't judge a book by it's cover. You may have driven by Sunshine House and seen a nondescript home on the side of Pacheco Blvd, surrounded by a post office and businesses. If you take a chance and take a look for yourself, past the entry door, you will be amazed at the space, the fabulous setup, and the extremely low child/teacher ratio! Sunshine house is like a "play and learn" school, there is a focus on education, and in my experience with my son, he has thrived with their flexible learning environment. My son started at this program as a child with social interaction challenges, and upon his graduation (entering Kindergarten next week!) he has thrived. We had our son here for 3 years, and we are ever so greatful to this program. As a professional who has done evaluations of programs, this accredited (YES ACCREDITED) preschool is outstanding!!

I absolutely love Sunshine House. My daughter has been going here for two+ years and I can only say positive things about it. The school has a Kindergarden Readiness Program, dedicated teachers who are like family to your children, they celebrate holidays with the kids, there is drop off and pick up from Hidden Valley Elementary, breakfast is provided, they do pot luck picnics, ice cream socials, pizza night for the kids monthly so they kids have fun while the parents get a night off, twice a year an evalaution of your child is done so you can gauge your childs progress, and over all these teachers are very in-tune to your kids and never hesitate to call should a question or issue arise. I will be very sad when my daughter finally out grows this school as no other child care provider/babysitter has yet to compare to this wonderful pre-school.
