If you are looking for a fun, energetic, and quality education experience for you and your child then this is the place for you I have had both my children graduate now and my sister has her son enrolled. I would recommend this school to anyone look for quality education for their child. My only wish is that they had a elementary school as well.
I have had 2 children go through Green Hills in the past 4 years and have quite a different experience than the parent who mentioned "lack of warmth" in her March 2009 review. The director is a direct and clear communicator and offers parenting advice, child insight and a wealth of suggestions and resources if asked. She is not a cutesy classic nursery school teacher. She is however, passionate about her role, committed to the students and families that attend GH. My boys love and respect her. The teachers are all very experienced & have a wide range of personality styles -- ranging from the more stereotyped version g to a more reserved approach. In all cases my children have bonded well with their teachers and learned valuable social skills. I already anticipate missing their influence next year when my youngest will leave Green Hills for kindergarten.
I was so pleased to find Green Hills. I looked at over 20 schools for my daughter and had a hard time finding a qualified staff that was educated with more than a year of Child Education. These Teachers all have BA or Masters and understand Child Psychology. These teachers have great ideas and the kids LOVE IT. We are starting that process and I wish they had elementary school.
We did not have a great experience at Green Hills. The staff is very well trained and the program hits is well done in the textbook sense. But beware the director lacks warmth, and I would say is often very negative and this trickles down into the program and the school. The school itself lacks a warmth which is so important at this stage.
