We have been very happy with this school. We've had my daughter in a different preschool in Laguna Niguel and were very happy with it as well, but took her out for a while. When it was time for her to go back, we shopped around (for the sake of doing our due diligence) and found this place. Things I love are: low student-teacher ratio skills assessment at the beginning & end of each term nutritious snacks informing parents of areas needing improvement so the messages are consistent at home and at school practical approach to sugar (can't avoid sugar in life, so teach moderation) practical approach to holidays (discourage unnecessary gifts/toys/treats) supportive of multicultural backgrounds tailored educational play based on child's needs (gross/fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, etc.) teaching self-esteem, pride, public speaking (show & tell, positive reinforcement, encouraging independence)
My daughter has attended pacific preschool in Laguna Niguel. She loves it! The 2 teachers she has had have been so incredible and loving. She started out really shy but now has tons of friends and loves going to school. She is ready for kindegarten and hasn't even turned four. They do a good job of incorporating play and learning in a low stress environment. The hours are great if you work:) I am very picky but I highly recommend the school.
my son attended pacific preschool at the ziggurat, although we live very close to the niguel location. the niguel location is just another preschool in a strip mall - nothing impressive. lynda (owner of pacific preschool) decided not to continue the contract at our location, but her lack of committment was obvious before notice was actually given. supplies were not ordered, kids were served non-nutritious snacks (like white rice and soy sauce), staffing was decreased, etc. all while still collecting our tution. this is extremely unethical on the part of the administration. part of what we want our children to learn is ethical and fair treatment of others. how can lynda way and pacific preschool teach our children this if they are incapable of ethical behavior, as evidenced by their treatment of our children??
