ICDC is a great daycare/pre-school that focuses on early childhood development. My two kids started in the infant room when they were barely 3 months old. They were loved and encouraged to explore the safe enviroment and play. The infant room and toddler room has its own separated yard, and pre-1 to 4 share a big yard. The school is small (total of 6 classes), so you will get to know many other families and kids there. I never thought my kids' pre-school would be a great source of my new friendships and support groups. We met so many wonderful families here and will certainly continue the friendship after our kids leave the school. In ICDC, kids learn through playing, and they don't even know they are learning. There is no sitting down and drilling ABC, but lots of playing, coloring, decorating, and stamping with the letter cut-outs. And the kids learn those letters effortlessly through repeated explosure in a fun way. My kids love to go to school, and love their teachers. I want my kids to love learning, and I believe ICDC makes learning fun, while keeping them challeged. Like what other parents have said, get on the waitlist as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed.

There is a reason this preschool has a long waiting list. It's one of the best preschools in Irvine and is worth the high tuition. It's especially excellent for families with two working parents. 1. It's clean, well-organized, well-run, very professional yet warm. 2. Children to teacher ratio is great. 3. The teachers are nurturing and make learning a fun and positive experience. 4. The administrators are on top of their game. If you are looking for an academically-intensive school that drills your kids for kindergarten, this is not for you. The center takes a developmental approach to preparing kids for kindergarten. If you want to put your toddlers in this preschool, be prepared to put your name on the waiting list as soon as your pregnancy test is positive - I am not kidding. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the positive experiences our family has had with ICDC - we have two kids who attended. We will miss the school and staff when our younger child starts kindergarten.

ICDC is an excellent pre-school with rooms starting with infants all the way through to pre-K. The infant room is sparkling clean and has their own dedicated outside play area for the infants. The toddler room has a similar setup to the infant room and have their own play area too. Pre-1 and beyond share the extremely large play area so that socializing can occur between mixed ages of kids from 2-5. The teacher-to-child ratio is the best in comparison to any other pre-school facility. The nurturing educational style allows kids to grow and learn without pressure. The proximity to city hall and the Irvine police station speaks volumes on safety for the kids here. We can't speak high enough of the staff and teachers and the excellence of this school.
