We relocated to California 6 months ago and being new to the area it meant a lot to pick the perfect school for my 2 boys to attend. After meeting Leslie Dillon the choice was clear that Montessori Manor was the environment I felt my children would strive in best. This school is very dedicated to each and every child. It has a strong social and academic foundation. I can t say enough about how caring and devoted Leslie Dillon and all the teachers are to developing children to their fullest potential. As far as my younger son this is his first experience attending school and he has adjusted beautifully. My older sons reading and math skills have soared since he began there. He is increasingly challenged as he masters his skills. We couldn't be happier with Montessori Manor. I know that my older son will begin First Grade with the confidence and skills to continue succeeding because of his positive experience at Montessori Manor. This is what you want as a parent, a caring & dedicated school staff that goes the extra mile!

My son started at this school at the age of 2 1/2. He has had tremendous development both intellectually, developmentally and socially in less than one year of attending the school. They learn life skills, social interaction skills, developmental growth and of course reading, math, art and language skills. I cannot say enough nice things about this school. Ms. Leslie is amazing with the children. She has many years of experience with teaching and it is definitely very evident. She encourages parental involvement yet at the same time understands the demands of day to day life in a family with both parents working. I have observed the classroom on multiple occasions and found all the teachers to be very patient and hard working. I cannot wait to get my other children into this school.

This is an excellent school that places a strong emphasis on academics. It is also a very nurturing environment. Both my children have attended this school for a number of years and I have been very impressed with how much they have learned and how much they loved going every day. My first child could read fluently after attending the school for one year (by the time she turned four) and was doing first grade work. This is largely due to the structure and high expectations of the school. The school also reinforces the importance of respectful and responsible behavior. I highly recommend Montessori Manor to anyone who is looking for both a nurturing environment and a place with a strong and supportive emphasis on academics.

This is a fabulous school for young children! My twins, Silje and Anders, recently graduated from the preschool program after attending for 1 1/2 years. They know all of their numbers, colors, letters, and letter sounds. In addition to this, they are both reading, adding, and subtracting! They also have an understanding of geography and science concepts along with life skills and current events. Most importantly, the school provided a safe, nurturing, supportive environment which promoted independence while learning. The director, Leslie Dillon, is amazingly supportive. She demonstrates professionalism through her communications with parents, students, and staff. I highly recommend this school for students with all needs. I was always impressed when "dropping in" and observing 20 plus students actively engaged in learning!!

Our 3 year old son attends Montessori Manor. He was previously at home with me and I was extremely weary about transitioning him to an all day program that would allow my husband and I to work full time. Leslie, the director, has been so accommodating to us in working with our schedule! We have tried a couple of other schools in the area and nothing even compares to Montessori Manor! My son's behavior is the greatest testimony, he has come so far in the 6 months he's been attending. The teachers are very loving and the interaction with the children is amazing! My son is pretty shy, but when he sees Miss Leslie or Miss Carrie, he lights up! The school is clean and run well. It is so comforting to be able to leave your child and not have to worry at all! And he is always happy when we pick him up! Within 3 months he was talking about planets and comets, identifying all the letters, and his manners are impeccable! I would highly reccomend this school to anyone who truly wants the BEST for their child!

Our experience at Montessori Manor has been stimulating and rewarding. We believe it has had a very positive impact in our sons' lives. Montessori Manor has strong leadership, challenging academic program and a safe, nurturing environment. We are so pleased with the school, our youngest son is now a student too.

I enrolled my son to Montessori Manor b/c of the positive recommendations from my friend, whose son went to different montessori, out of state. I have to agree that the school's teaching style is quite strict. My son always enjoyed going to preschool. Well, it all changed after we enrolled him @MM. I have been trying all kinds of things--putting him to bed at 7pm, giving him praises, rewards for going there. And he just didn't want to go, was crying every time. i think this teaching style is NOT for all kids. I, personally, think that a 2-4 year olds DO learn their most valuable lessons through play still. And making them do "jobs"/"projects" is great, but not 2-5 hours a day. Their attention span tells us that! Teachers seem knowledgable but also strict. I think every kid needs different approach, parents know that. I feel that MM's approach wasn't fitting my son. I have to give MM credit for holding up to their name "M.Manor", they do a great job at teaching kids manors! However, i didn't notice much academical growth, which Montessori schools are known for.

This is truly a great school. The director's experience in dealing with children of all different needs is amazing. Her abilities as an educator are unparalleled. I'm in the process of sending my second child through this program and will be sending my third when the time comes. One of my children has some sensory processing issues that can make him a challenging child to have in the classroom. The teachers worked hard to meet his special needs and help him to make vast improvements in his ability to function in the classroom environment. He has successfully transferred into our local public school and is doing great. My other child had some developmental delays. The teachers have worked with her and she has made amazing progress! The director and teachers are very adept at working with you and your child to maximize your child's school experience. My children have come out of this program not only with excellent academic skills but life skills as well. I highly recommend this program!

i sent my 4 children through this program. If you are not familiar with the Montessori program, you should visit the school. The Montessori philosophy seemed to make sense when I was looking for a place to put my children. I feel so fortunate to have found this school. The staff was so great to the children. The school is very clean and organized.
