While looking at existing private schools for my children grade school education, I chanced upon and read the unfair negative reviews on Village Montessori on this site. My wife and I felt that these reviews are unfair portrayals of the school my son once attended. I feel grateful and compelled to write and defend this wonderful school in Diamond Bar which my second child attended till the summer of 2011. My child started off being quite fussy and difficult when he was around two and half years old. The excellent Montessori teaching method and the many Montessori materials which the school owns kept him interested and learning. Often times, my wife and I had hard time getting him to leave in the evening. The owner , Ms Shirley and the Director, Mrs Quintero are truly wonderful and caring people . It will be hard to find another Montessori school as well equiped and run. I cannot find enough words to express our appreciation other than to write this review to say thank you to Village Montessori, P.S: Instead of relying only on reviews, I urge parents to visit the school and find out for themselves if the school is suitable for their sons or daughters
if you want your kids to be watching movies everyday, this is the school for you. Mrs Quintero, kinder teacher is the worst teacher ever. she lets the kids watch any movie they bring every day. Mrs Massood, the pre k teacher is also bad. she squeezes a childs arm HARD to tell them to pay attention. many parents have pulled their kids out of this horrible environment.
The school is run like a dictatorship in which the owner restricts what and how the teachers communicate to parents. Teacher turnover is extremely high and when a teacher leaves, the school does not even notify parents until two weeks thereafter. While the teachers are caring, it is not worth the headache dealing with the administration. They claim that they have a long wait list and force you to pay registration fees that are not refundable. Beware!!!
This school has been nothing but a huge disappointment. My son comes home with diaper rashes all the time. I've seen young children roaming the hallways unattended. Once, the side entrance was even left unlocked. I would not recommend this school to any parent who cares about their child.
