Redbud actually has 36 kids, not 11. Age can begin a bit below 3 and go above 5. The teachers are highly trained, have many years of experience, and participate in continuing education opportunities- they are truly teachers, not just day-care type care providers. Parents are involved in diverse school activities. The kids develop knowledge and skills well above their grade level and are commonly over-prepared for entering regular kindergarten or first grade. Kids are treated with dignity and compassion. This is a very impressive school.
Both my boys (now ages 10 and 17) attended Redbud through Kindergarten on the recommendation of a co-worker. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my children. They still love to visit their teachers!
This is truly a special place. My children love going to school here. Redbud follows the montessori philosophy of allowing each child to learn at his/her own pace and interest. Children thrive here, not only intellectually but socially as well. This school is highly recommended.
