There is only great things to say about this school! We absolutely love Miss Willow, the Principal at the Stratford Danville campus. She not only stands outside to greet every single student entering the school, but has something nice to say to the child as well as the parent/caregiver with the student. By doing so, she instills such a feeling of community and caring. It shows in how the faculty at this campus interacts with the children. An embracing warmth is exuded which creates such enthusiasm and joy for the child and his/her family. I approve of Stratford because of its highly competitive and comprehensive curriculum, however I LOVE this campus because of the people that work there and how they make us feel. Miss Willow goes beyond what you would expect in a principal or teacher. She has such an enthusiastic optimism, you can't help but be drawn in and walk away happier for the experience. Her natural exuberance and true love for the children who walk through the doors of Stratford is what truly staggers you. She honestly loves these kids and whole heartedly wants whats best for them and for you. Her knowledge in early childhood education is based on practice and experience. We end up being better parents for it, we end up being better people by just knowing her. Miss Willow is a treasure and an honest gem, that sparkle she imparts is felt all day long and long after our children attend Stratford.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

Miss Mina, my son's Pre-K teacher, has fostered such pride in my son for everything from academic learning to correct classroom behavior. I commend Miss Mina for teaching my son not just his letters and phonics, but how to be a positive citizen in society. He went from entering her class at the beginning of the year not knowing anything to reading a book by himself by halfway through the year. He absolutely loves her and I believe it's her truly empathic way of teaching, reaching out to each child individually that allowed my son to flourish under her care. We couldn't have envisioned a greater teacher!

One would not be a teacher at Stratford if they were not effective. Ms. Willow would never allow that to happen on her watch.

Amount of homework: Agree

The teachers know their student. Many kids under the age of 5 develop different times and the teachers know how to encourage the ones that need the help and foster those that have already developed.

Develops character: Strongly agree

Have been a proud parent of this campus for the past five years with 2 children. Words can not express what Stratford has meant to our family. This campus has exceptional leadership along with the most competent staff members that become family members to your child. Yes, the academics are superb and beyond any other schools around, but the social aspect of this environment is above any I have ever experienced or have heard of. If you want your child to love who they are, feel happy and confident that they are being taught, loved, and nurtured daily, Stratford Danville BlackHawk Campus is your new home. You will not regret your decision.

It's the best Stratford campus, cozy and feels like family .I say that since my son has been in other Stratford campuses. The teachers are extremely nice my son adores his teacher Miss Mina he looks forward to go to school each day even weekends.Within few months he has learnt so much. The school is a perfect balance of acadmics ,play and fun.The cool Principal Miss Willow is always at the door with her warm hugs and Hello's the kids love her they are super excited to see her at the door she is constantly organizing fun activities at the campus .The energy and hardwork the teachers put on the kids is commendable I am happy that my son is not just learning but he is always happy and smiling here.

This is an amazing preschool! Starting with the charismatic, warm and loving principal Ms Willow. She is hands down the best, I love her. The first day I dropped off my 3 year old, we were both a mess, crying, and I went straight to her with some concerns and she was so sweet and sympathetic. She grabbed another teacher to come into my daughter's classroom to just sit with her and hold her and calm her down. I was touched. And now that teacher has a special bond with my daughter, she absolutely adores her. Their day is not all play based, as you would think it might be with 3 year olds. It's also academic based. She does a worksheet every day and learns so many things on all kinds of various topics. She has learned Spanish there as well and I love their music program for the kids too. There's a piano teacher that comes into the classrooms every day and plays the piano and sings with the kids. It's the best mix of everything! They even do science! My daughter and I both love it there!!!!!
