My son is now 9 years old but he attended de anza CDC when he was 2-3 years old. It was hands down the best preschool that he attended to date. The teachers were extremely educated, gentle, and understanding. They always had activities planned and let the children learn at their own pace through play and interaction with each other and the world around them. They encourage parent participation and they really care about all the children. I think about our experience there all the time and wish there were elementary schools out there like this preschool.
I was at De Anza CDC when they have a part-time program. The school is more of a structured play-based school and the teachers are very devoted and have a lot of knowledge in child development. The program is also a bit pricey, but you are paying for the great service. I still have my child's binder full of pictures of his experiences in De Anza and I enjoyed reading it from time to time. I wish they still offer part-time program, especially for young children. For parents who are looking for play-based part-time childcare, I did eventually find another child development center at West Valley College that matches De Anza CDC.
I have two children, a 2 year old and a 5 year old. It was scary to think that I would have to look for childcare outside my home. As soon as my children stepped into De Anza they fell in love. It is a beatiful campus, very spacious, lots of outside jungle gyms, and a very safe neighboorhood. The staff was great, very helpful and they put me at ease. My children love it at De Anza, they love their teachers and have made many friends in their classroom. I know that when I leave my children at De Anza they are in good hands, I know that the staff loves and cares for my children as if they were their own. The center is very affordable, based on income and they provide my kids breakfast, lunch and snacks. I'm so happy with the childcare at De Anza I had to share it online and let other parents know that there is amazing childcare out there.
This caring and experienced faculty and staff understand children and families deeply and provide excellent instruction and guidance.
