My son started at Happyland this summer and loves it. He started 3 days a week, and would cry on his off days. We increased him to 5 days a week, and he is even happier. The teachers are caring and he definitely thriving. I just wish they had a toddler program for his little sister.
This is an amazing preschool. The staff is warm and loving and the kids are exactly the kind of kids you want your child to associate with - kind and well-bred from really solid families. The school is incredibly diverse and it really celebrates that diversity and promotes peace from the lesson plans to the daily interactions between the children. If there is a squabble, kids are encouraged to talk it out at the 'peace table' and come away with a better understanding of their own feelings and how to handle similar situations in the future. It's a little 'hippy' in its philosophy, but it's not over-done, it's just the right amount for little people learning about themselves and the world around them for the first time.
