Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My daughter is in the Japanese Immersion Program and before she was in the English Program, this school is amazing from the teachers to the materials in each classroom. They make all the kids fill safe, loved and welcoming. Ms. Yazmin really runs a good preschool and she loves the kids. There isn't another preschool like this anywhere that can take a language and make the children learn the montessori materials in the language of your choice. My daughter will be attending El Marino in the fall, thanks to this school.

My son started at culver city Montessori 2 years ago. He was really shy and struggling socially. The daycare I had him at prior was not as structured as this one. After he settled in he really began to blossom socially and academically. He felt safer and loved and challenged. I have another son a year older who did not attend culver Montessori and I can see what a difference it made. My youngest was reading and writing at the same level as my son a year older. Ms Eva and Ms. Yazmin work hard for the kids. The facilities are a bit run down but the teaching and interactions among the kids from many cultures makes up for it. I wish I had sent both my kids here and would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter has attended Yazmin Pooja's Culver City Montessori for about a year now. It is a nurturing environment, staffed with caring and invested teachers. Their Mandarin immersion program, one of the main reasons we chose this school, is fantastic. It's amazing how much my daughter has learned in such a short time and we owe it all to Tina Laoshi. My little one is now picking up some Mandarin words from my older one; it's the cutest thing! I can't wait for her to start the Mandarin program at CCM next year as well. The entire school has been very accommodating of my daughter's special dietary needs and they manage to fill the year with fun and exciting ways to celebrate life and all it has to offer. I believe a school thrives and dies by the leadership of its principal. This school would be nothing without Yazmin Pooja. She runs the place with a firm but loving hand. I highly recommend checking it out and hope to see you there next year!

I have there for over a year now and I am very proud to be a part of this school. There is mutual respect between teachers which has formed into great friendships. The school is very much like a small community and the parents and children are the best! The school is run by an understanding, caring, and experienced director who has mentored me since the beginning. She genuinely cares for the well-being of the children. If parents are looking for a great preschool, this school not only provides the best education but we provide genuine love and care!!! :)

We've been there for a few years now and each year, there is a new staff of teachers. There seems to be a good group of teachers this year. The director runs an expensive and tight ship. She is gossipy and sometimes says really rude things. She raises the tuition every year and have more days off --but offer daycare for $30. My child is happy and well looked after, but once you're in, be ready for tuition to rise and donate money for her fundraising activities. Next year, tuition will go up $130 a month, so she fundraised $1430 on our family already.

As a native speaker, I wanted to ensure that my daughter would gain as much exposure to Spanish as possible. She has been thriving in the Spanish immersion program at CCMP. Ms. Elizabeth has been wonderful with the students my daughter has been learning songs, letters, sounds and words that complement what I teach her at home.

Our 2 year old attends this school and we are very pleased with the quality of care he receives. He is very happy at this school and it's comforting to know the facility is safe and clean.

We were lucky to find this school just as they started their Mandarin Chinese immersion program last summer. Before enrolling here, our daughter was at WorldSpeak preschool, took various Mandarin classes, and previously had Spanish speaking nannies. However, we are thrilled to see our 4-year old now more rapidly developing her Mandarin and Spanish language skills. Also, although the language program attracted us here, we've come to greatly appreciate the Montessori teaching style, including increased personal responsibility that our daughter takes outside of school. We are happy with our choice, so much so that our daily travel in heavy traffic between Westwood and Culver City are worth it.

fantastic immersion program. my 2 year old can say up to 20 in Spanish and Mandarin! She has also been potty trained by the ladies at the school and the hours they take the children work well if you are a working mum.

Our son has been here for almost a year and we are very happy with the experience. He is cared for lovingly by his teachers, was potty trained quickly, and has learned a tremendous amount. Best of all, his participation in the Mandarin immersion program has been fantastic. Neither my husband nor I speak the language, but we are enjoying learning with him and feel so lucky to offer him this opportunity.

My 3, and a have-year old son has been in CCM for two years and we have nothing but good experiences. All the teachers are very good at making learning fun for all the kids. My son has already surpass her academic milestones and is being exposed to art proyects, music, activities, foreign languages, and different cultures as part of her regular curriculum. He loves music lessons, Spanish classes, futball soccer, He loves her teacher and teacher's assistant. Both have taught her to sing, count, speak, and alphabet and number recognition. All the teachers know most of the kids in the school even the ones that are not in their class.

My son has been attending CCM for almost a year and I'm very happy with it. He loves going to school and has learned tremendously since starting there. He's very attached to his teachers and it's obvious that they love him and care about his intellectual growth as well. I like that they have a variety of activities including language immersion classes and various special events. I'd definitely recommend it to any parents looking in the area.

My two children have been attending Culver City Montessori for the past 3 years and we have had nothing but good experiences with them. The teachers are very professional. I have recommended CCM to my friends and they have not been dissapointed either. I would recommend that school to anyone without hesitation. I strongly believe that both of my children will succeed in school because they started their early education at CCM.

My son has attended CCM since he was 2 years old. He will graduate this year and can already read at a 2nd grade level and also has a strong foundation in arithmetic. We are constantly surprised by how much he learns at school. Although he is young for his class, we were very proud of how he performed, both academically and socially, during his private school interviews. We attribute much of this development to his teachers and peers at CCM. The school is extremely diverse and the families are a real community. We were also very excited that CCM started Mandarin and Spanish immersion classes this year. Both my husband and I speak Mandarin and we think it is very important for our son to have an opportunity to learn the language. Needless to say, we will be sending our 9 month old there when he turns 2!

My daughter started here the day after she turned 2. She is now 3 1/2 and I am constantly amazed by how her growing knowledge and independence. She comes home happy everyday and she adores her teachers so much that she kisses them goodnight on the school picture we taped on her bedroom wall.

My daughter loves all the teachers and the kids here. The kids are great because the parents are great. The environment is warm and welcoming to kids and parents alike. I love that it is clean and safe, I never have to worry about any serious playground injuries.

My child has been flourishing since she has attended Culver City Montessori Pre-School. The teachers are excellent and always keep me informed of her progress both academically and socially. The administration is also wonderful with handling any questions or needs by e-mail or phone promptly. My little girl loves going to school (so much that she sometimes does not want to leave), and that is the most important thing.

My 3 year old has been a student at Culver CIty Montessori for almost a year now. He has made great friends with not only other children, but of the teachers as well. The teachers are truly interested in the lives and livelihood of their children. They provide such loving care, while setting and adhering to behavioral boundaries. Each child is unique and fostered as such at CCM. I was initially hesitant on Montessori techniques but the director has put together such a healthy combination of Montessori and traditional technique that any child can succeed here in building educational as well as social skills. The learning plan is challenging for such inquisitive little minds and the patience of each teacher truly provides confidence in each child to accomplish it all. Every aspect of CCM is based on the child's individual readiness, providing such confidence- even our neighbors comment on what a confident boy we have- so important. Just upon walking into the school yard, it is easy to see what a happy place CCM is.

My son started at CCM 5 months ago at 2 years old. I toured 5 Montessori preschools in the area before choosing CCM. They are just the right size, have a wonderful facility, great teachers and a competitive price with extended hours (7am to 6pm). Each teacher has the perfect balance of love and compassion, yet knows when to put their foot down. Discipline was a concern of mine after my son was at a daycare where discipline was handled very poorly, if even handled at all, so CCM was very refreshing in that regard. There are so many great things to say about the school, but the most important aspect is director and the teachers. My son is always excited to go to school which speaks volumes on its own. Ms. Yazmin and Ms. Amanda continuously keep the parents up-to-date on the progress of their child and the activities they partake in every day. I was thoroughly impressed at my first parent/teacher conference to see just how well Ms. Amanda knows my son. There is a lot of truth in the saying it takes a village to raise a child which makes me so grateful to have found CCM. The staff gives us the support we need, provides a great education and they truly care for my son.

Though my son has only been attending this school for a couple of months, I know from previous experience that this school has it all. They have a dedicated staff, an involved director and an inviting space that encourages play and creativity. I've already seen my son grow and I look forward to his future development.

Just Fyi: My son (3 yrs) was here for 1 day. I picked him up after a 1/2 day, the director handed him over along with his belongings. She told me that "he wasn't montessori school material, some kids aren't". The reason, he was very disruptive and wouldn't take his nap (his 1st day of school). I realize the fault lies with *his* behavior, but I can't help feel this attitude flies in the face of Maria Montessori's philosophy. Montessori was given charge of a group she called 'defective children' (special needs, abused/neglected, and "wild and unruly street" kids) and brought them up to the level of 'normal' kids, and her method was born. My son is now at Shining Path Montessori. He reads, does math & is praised by his teachers, who were very patient with him. Its easy to look good if you kick out the hard ones.

My son has been at CCM for two years and 8 days come this Friday. He is graduating and I am sad to see his wonderful experience at CCM come to a close. I looked at a lot of preschools two years ago and as soon as I walked into CCM, everything about it and everything I saw struck me as just right and wonderful. The classrooms are bright and spotless with beautiful hardwood floors. The playgrounds are completely covered with that foam rubber material with beautifully shade trees, tall green hedges, and lots of interesting playground equipment for the children to run and swing and also conduct imaginary play. But, of course, it's the people that are the greatest asset. I will never be able to thank Ms. Yazmin for all she has done for our son. Our son has blossomed in every way and we are grateful.

How do we know that this school is great? It's easy! Now that she'll be Kindergarden this coming school year, we attended a lot of private school's orientations and tours around the schools including being able to see what their Kindergarden students are doing. Based on our observation, these activities are nothing compared to our daughter's homeworks for which she can do by herself (even teaching us sometimes how to do it or answer it). Her reading and math skills are well beyond what these Kindergarden students are doing and she's just 4. She really enjoys the extracurricular activities as well - dance class, gym class and summer's Friday wet day. Thanks to all the teachers and Ms. Jasmin for continiously nurturing our kids with best learning experience and good attitude too!!!

Working at Culver City Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten has been a pleasure. All of us teachers work well together and enjoy seeing eachother everyday. We have a diverse group of children which makes everything that much more interesting. The parents and Ms. Yasmin have great relationships also, they are always willing to help out in any way they can. :) There are many extra curricular activities to choose from which children enjoy and benefit from. All these great things about our little school makes coming to work everyday very enjoyable.

In my opinion Culver City Preschool and Kindergarten has excellent teachers and curricula that is balanced and developmentally appropriate. The director is very much involved in the day-to-day operations and strives hard to provide quality education and relationships. My children are in their second year at this school and have never once said they 'didn't want to go to school today' which tells me a lot! If you want your child in an organized, friendly, and disciplined environment with teachers who love what they do and with children with diverse backgrounds, then you should inquire at this school.

I have to agree with most of the posters here, this school is awesome!!From the teachers to Ms. Yazmin to the students to the playground, the school makes learning for my 3 yr old daughter very enjoyable. I really like the diversity of the students and the curriculum. The only downside is the price but compared to other Montessori school's in the area, it's a bargain.

Fantastic!!Awesome!! That is how I describe Culver City Montessori Pre-school. My daughter has been in this school for a year now. And she has progressed leaps & bounds. When she started I was a worried mom with a non-motivated learner. But the director Ms.Yazmin promised me that in a year's time I would see a 180 degree turn. And she was right. My daughter 5 years old is already reading, writing & doing math at a first grade level. Ms. Eva is a marvelous teacher. She knows how to motivate and works as per the child's capability. And the results speak for themselves. The other teachers too are caring, friendly & polite. Ms Yazmin is doing a great job by maintaining a disciplined, yet friendly & pleasant environment for the children. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to lay a great foundation for their kids.

My daughter has been at Culver City Montesorri for almost a year now, and it is astounding how much she has learned and developed as a student in that year. She wants me to tell you this about her school: I think this school is really good how to teach peoople how to read, and also all the teachers are very nice. They have really really really good math teachers. And a lot of these people can read and that's very good--she means before they are five. That means Ms. Eva is a very, very good teachers and all the rest of the teachers too. And I love all the teachers and Ms. Yazmin too. The special activities there are wonderful, so so , so fun. I love when they do the water play in summer and they have really good work there.

My daughter has attended Culver City Montessori for the past year. She will be turning 4 later this year and I am amazed with how much she's learned at this school. The teachers are amazing and have really worked hard with her. She's learned how to play with others and participate in group activities effectively. She's learned to write, count, and read simple terms and concepts. The staff is very affectionate and caring toward the children and are in tune with their needs. Ms. Yazmin does an outstanding job overseeing the overall function of the program and finds the time to get to know each and every child that attends. She is keenly aware of facility security and makes certain that the safety and welfare of the children is at the forefront of her agenda. I would recommend Culver City Montessori to any parent looking for a preschool.

My 2 and a half year old son loves this school. He was a little behind in his speech development and our doctor suggested trying preschool in addition to speech therapy. I was concerned because he is a very active kid and can be quite stubborn, but after touring the school I decided to give it a try. I think this is one of the best decisions I have ever made as a parent. He is excited to leave for school every morning, and his speech development has snowballed. He says new words almost every day. The school is extremely supportive and his teacher is great at keeping me up to date on his progress. I highly recommend this school.

I moved to LA 5 yrs ago, and was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I interviewed several schools, and chose this one because: my daughter fell in love with the director right away, the classroom was very strict montessori (not 'fake' montessori like other schools), the environment was comfortable, and there was a beautiful playground - very unusual in LA. My daughter (moving to 2nd) has been in the top of her class ever since. The school gave her a fantastic foundation for her elementary school career. My son has been going there now for 2 years, and is also heading off to elementary school. He is reading, writing and doing math at the level that is at least at 1st grade. It has been a great educational, supportive, loving home away from home. I'm hoping they decide to add an elementary program soon!
