Big things really do come is small packages. Although the facilities of this school are small....GREAT things are happening here. My daughter has been attending A Child's Place for a few months now and has grown so much (socially, emotionally and academically). I couldn't ask for more. I tend to pick my child up a little later (around 4 PM) and the children are always doing something new during their outdoor playtime. The teachers are never just standing around watching the students play. They are INVOLVED, so I never feel like my daughter is just at another day care facility. The staff is caring and very hands on and the director keeps it all in order. As an educator myself, I could not ask for a better school for my daughter!
This is a school! My daughter attends ACP. I feel very confident and I feel secure with the staff. I know she is happy and safe. They are attentive and competent. The entire staff is fantastic. My daughter never wants to leave when I go to pick her up... and that s a good thing! Ms. Darcy is ( I suppose you could call her the ' School's Principal') and she has the place run very well. Super organized.-- SB's Mommy
My son went to A Child's Place for Pre K in 2006-2007. It is now 2010 and I still highly recommend and talk about how great the staff and school is. I love everything about the school! They encourage and teach good nutrition, manners, respect, proper restroom hygiene and how to have an adventurous and fun filled time learning :) I cannot express enough my love for this school. When I open a preschool, im calling Darci for advice :)
They are a great school! My Daughter goes there and she loves it. They help with Child development and are very friendly and give lots of great feedback regarding your own individual childs progress.
A Child's Place has been fabulous to my daughter! It has been wonderful watching her self-esteem and manners grow, but mostly growing up to be a successful human being that is excepting of everyone around her. Thanks to ACP!
We loved ACP and are now considering it again for our second child. We had only two complaints, one from our daughter's bully experience that went on for we're guessing two weeks before we notified the teachers of the strange behavior we noticed from our daughter, they said they didn't notice, but the problem stopped almost immediately after we talked to them; and then two the cd they played during the morning play time... we keep it funky but paying for your child to hear profanity at school, strange to say the least. They didn't play that cd again after I'd heard it that day. I recommend they keep it preschool songs, no club music, even without the profanity. In any case, this was a few years ago and hopefully they have some new staff who are much more aware, careful, and on top of what's going on. We shall see!
ACP was referred to us by our pediatrician, and I am so grateful! The teachers and Director are superb! My childrens' days are full of fun and learning, while they receive truly loving care. This school made a significant difference in our lives!
