The Mountain School is probably a great feeder into a Waldof elementary school. My experience is that it is a risk if you are considering a private or Marin County public elementary school. I trusted the teachers as professionals who knew what my kids would be facing after preschool in a more mainstream setting. It has been a really tough road for one of them. Early thoughts on reading and fine motor development would have been very helpful. Do not be intimidated by staff, teachers or parents while determining what is best for your child and family. Enjoy the Mountain School for what it is and do not hesitate to look into other ways to assess and prepare your child for academic success and confidence. Fun and loving preparation does not have to be "stressful on a child." Being unprepared for school can be very stressful for some
Amazing program geared at getting kids ready for life. They focus on teaching children to behave well and use their imagination. A wonderful foundation for the next step. Kids at this school are confident, good kids.
