INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

A good school that needs to take better care of its teachers. I have two children currently enrolled in Camelot, and we have been there for a couple of years now. It really is a nice school with excellent, caring teachers and a good environment for the kids. The downfall: high staff turnover. My understanding is that they are not well compensated, which is really a shame because they work very hard and tuition is not cheap. I hope this will change, as it is hard on the children to lose their cherished teachers, and it reflects poorly on the school. We are currently looking into other programs in the area because we are tired of the turnover, and I wish it didn't have to be this way. Overall this is a good school which would be great if it took better care of it's wonderful teachers.

It's sad to see a great school slip into oblivion, but that's what has happened to Camelot. I was a devout parent and strong advocate, and I could never fault the amazing teachers and their dedication! However, the owner has destroyed this gem... her shortsighted and uninformed decisions have hobbled the teachers and alienated parents. Camelot no longer has an elementary school...enrollment waned as the owner spent more time at the campus... as she failed to let the teachers do their jobs and encumbered them with absurd restrictions. This woman doesn't seem to understand education, doesn't seem to like children, and certainly does NOT like parents. The teachers could be 5 stars if only the owner would allow them the freedom and tools to do their jobs.

We just love Camelot!! We found it 8 years ago after an exhausting search for where to send our then 4 year old. Our girl immediately ran to the slide and never looked back. When it was time for our second daughter to start preschool last fall I called Camelot and to my complete delight Miss Kelly was still there as was most of her teaching staff. These wonderful talented people take such good care of my little ones that I never have to worry (ok I'm a Mom I still worry a little bit) about my girl having her best day at school! She loves the classroom with it's wide range of toys, books and activity centers. She has learned to write her letters and numbers and she just loves to write her name on her beautiful artwork!! She is beginning to recognize words as we read books thanks to her wonderful teachers and we still have another year before kindergarten. I highly recommend this wonderful facility and I thank each and everyone of teachers and staff especially Miss Kelly for the amazing care they have given my girls.

We have loved our time at Camelot. My children started in the infant/toddler center and continued through pre-kindergarten. The program is positive and creative and the teachers are professional and obviously love what they do! Absolutely recommend!

I am a grandparent with two grandsons who attended Camelot School. Both boys loved the school. The staff is warm and friendly, efficient and professional. The curriculum is advanced and child-centered. Both boys talked a lot about what they learned at Camelot and were reluctant on many days to break it off and go home. The school has good, high test scores, successful graduates and a well-deserved positive reputation.

Wonderful school! We couldn't be happier with the care and education that our children have received. The teachers are professional, experienced and extremely knowledgeable, and our children have learned so much since attending this school. They are also very happy and secure, often not wanting to leave when we pick them up.

Camelot's teachers really care about each child both academically and emotionally My daughter has just finished first grade there and I couldn't be happier with her progress. We had a very bad experience with another school and her teachers at Camelot have nurtured her and given back her love of learning

Camelot has really gone down hill. The principal Mrs. Wong does not respond to parent concerns. The curriculum is below grade level.

Love Camelot! Our son has been going their since he was 2.5. He is now pre-kindergarden and is reading (yes, reading) and is doing basic math. He is growing up to be a very confident and curious child and I really have to give credit to the teachers at Camelot.

My son has attended Camelot since he was 3. As some of the other parents have stated, Camelot is like a family. The staff is wonderful. The Pre-K teachers and curricullum were wonderful. Their approach makes it very interesting for the children, as they will take a theme - like airplanes - and cover reading, math and science concepts, ultimately building their own airplane models out of various materials like aluminum foil, clay or paper, etc. The teachers really do care about each child, using a teaching approach that addresses various learning styles. They understand children, and it shows. My son is now in first grade and doing quite well. We plan to keep him here through elementary.

Camelot has been a great experience for both us and our son - age 3. We had a bit of teacher turn-over in the beginning but have been stable for a while. They actually DO have curriculum - it's amazing. They focus their art projects, books and songs around the theme (usually changes weekly) - and it's helpful as parents to talk about this with our son. The administration is very helpful, open, and has always willingly answered any questions or concerns we've had. We're quite happy with them.

Camelot has been a saving grace for my family. Camelot is more then school...it's home! The teachers, staff, principal and administration are like family. The principal always has an open door policy and has only the best interest at heart when it comes to each students education. My children attended both the preschool and elementary school at Camelot. The after school program is great! Because (like many parents) I have to work my children have always participated in the after school program. The cost of full-time private schoo, including the after school care is LESS then most after school programs alone! I don't know what I would have done without Camelot!

Our son entered as an infant and attended up through age 3. Age 1 was a great experience, age 2 was a good experience, and age 3 was quite stressful and disappointing to the extent that we pulled him out of school. There is good reason why teacher turnover is so high. We would not recommend this school to parents based on our personal experiences we had there.

Camelot is great. My daughter has been attending the Pre-K program since Aug of last year and already has shown a major improvement with her language skills. She knew how to spell her name within a month and a half at Camelot; something we had been working on for some time. We love Camelot and plan on keeping her there throught her elementary education.

Camelot looks good from the outside, but the curriculum for pre-k kids is almost non existant. There is a very large teacher turn over, and they do not seem to be experienced in handling boys and there natural ruff housing.

We love Camelot!! The teachers, the students, the parents are such an amazing group! I feel so blessed my son has started his learning years in such a kind and loving environment! The kindergarten teacher is fabulous, as is her aid! The preschool was wonderful and gave my son a great entry and foundation for his many years of academia that lay ahead!

We love Camelot! my son has been there since he was 1 1/2 years old...the teacher's and the program are wonderful! my son could spell his name and he could count to 70 when he was just turning 4! the staff is so loving and caring and i trust them with my child! the principal is fabulous, too! a lot of parental involvement and fun family activities to do there! my son will be starting kindergarten there this fall and we are sooo excited! it ain't cheap (private school) but because of the money you spend, these kids have SO many resources that public schools just can't meet -- arts and crafts, individual attention, a polite and concerned staff...very different from a public school. it's not a fancy-schmancy campus..it looks a little run down but the important things are well taken care of -- the kids! :)

My 4 children have all attended Camelot School and I have nothing but praise for the teachers and curriculum. There has been a fast turnaround in teachers in the preschool program which was unfortunate.

Teachers are great the ones that have stuck around my daughter went there and the turn around on teachers are ridiculous! Management isn't very friendly when they want money then it's ok but when you have a little problem they really don't care. They seem to talk more behind closed doors then to talk to parents.

The quality of academic would be a 90 percent because there is such a low student-teacher ratio. Music is good but it is only the recorder. And there is no sports available. However the parent involement is very high.

Camelot is a wonderful school with great leadership and amazing teachers. My daughter attended preschool and flourished both academically, artistically, and socially. The teachers are the most patient and loving people and they treat each child with respect.

Very pleased with the level of child care and instruction that our two children received from age six months until age five. Camelot provided a loving, nurturing environment.
