someone pay off last reviewer? we went to see what this location was like, found an un communicative, not too warm type person /director in charge, over priced and many gifted teachers who were once there when our other older children attended gone; communication with other parents validated our thoughts;are other places with more of caring staff available at better pricing and more educated experienced instructors
Amazing School !!! Don't get scarred off by the religion aspect !! Any Chapel time is singing and fun !! All children are loved and nurtured in a caring safe and respectful manner. I would opt for the afternoon classes since they are smaller ! Also don't be afraid to apply half way through the year ! if your 2.5 just turned 3 give them a call !! This is a AMAZING school !! With a lovely staff and caring educated director !!! No closed door's here !! Drop by anytime and view your child or take part in there class ;-)
so director decided to fire once again a few more good teachers, she swept house last yr on all the ones who were educated that parents liked, shes done it again, terrible terrible what has become of this once great pre school
So too late we learned all the experienced and or credentialed teachers from the past ,AFTER THEY TOOK OUR MONEY were all gone/ that is LET GO this last school year 2010-2011. We have since left as we couldnt seem to properly connect with the director and we didnt care for the lack of the elementary basics of education for the children. Huge difference form the old days. We didnt care to be associated with the church or school any longer. Ttruly disappointing
what "academics" is this principle referring to unless she means "cooking" ..thats a joke ,we left there
It was only a matter of time when the curriculum was phased out from academics, arts & just plain fun to Emilio Reggio. Adios to the traditional values, say buenos dias to the feel good approach where your child rules the day. They sure will be able to cook after they leave this place but will not be able to tread water in the true academic forum. The best and brightest teachers have been asked to depart perhaps due to budget constraints? I think it is basically due to a restructuring via the new & exciting Director. Attrition is coming to BHPP. The once fantastic formula for success that this school once held is following our current administrative path to no where. Watching it deteriorate was gut wrenching & many parents were afraid to speak out but voiced their dislike for the severe changes. We no longer attend church there.
My second child is now entering the preschool, with my first child he entered kindergarten ahead of the curve. He was already reading and using phonics. The friendships made will last long after school ends.
BHPP is a fantastic facility, wonderful teachers and we are really excited about the new director, Sheila.
All 3 of my kids have attended this preschool over the past 7 years, have had wonderful teachers and the new Director, Sheila, is really on top of it. She is focused on the kids and their needs, as are all the teachers. My current attending child has had the best time at summer camp and has made some great friends.
too bad Linda the former director is not still there ,she was uplifting and approachable and you could see the teachers all loved working for her
