Montessori Early Learning Center

I am very shocked to see the recent review of 1 star and was hoping the reviewer would have provided more specifics on the issue since I have never heard of anyone with such experience. My daughter has been going here for 2 years and she loves it. The program is well designed, teachers are warm and caring, facilities are well laid out, etc. The school has an open environment where kids move about indoor/outdoor with many interesting areas to focus on like art, reading, practical life, sand play, etc. We visited 5 preschools before we decided on this one and it was because the kids in this school seem happy, carefree and having fun. We saw how the kids behaved through one of those one-way glass windows from where you can observe the kids without them knowing it. The school recently changed its director so I know people were feeling a bit uncertain but so far, all parents I've asked have said positive things about the new director. Dr. Ebesugawa is very engaging with the parents and the children and we feel confident that she will continue to lead and strengthen the program. The only negative thing is that the program is too short because my kid would love to stay there all day.

We took our child out due to many red flags, including disengaged teaching, bullying, and neglect. It looks nice, but investigate before sending your child there.

ELC is an outstanding pre-school with a staff to student ratio of 1 teacher to 7 kids. We were assured that our child had the attention and focus that she needed. Learning ranges from buttoning shirts, learning to zipper jackets to learning basic addition and geography. At the age of 4.5 years, my child is able to write, spell and perform basic addition. ELC has done a great job in educating my child. Two thumbs up for the staff and the school.

The staff and curriculum of ELC is outstanding. The children learn a variety of topics through structured and free choice periods during the day. Our child is in her second year of the three year program and is continuously amazing us with what she learns. When you three year old comes home talking about the '7 continents in our world' and how 'Pluto is the coldest because it's furthest from the Sun', as a parent you can't help but be impressed! Our next two children will be following in her foot steps and we know they will all be well prepared for future accademic success thanks to ELC.

Early LEarning Center is a Montessori Pre-School and Kindergarten. THe atmosphere is structured but the children have many choices within limits. THe teachers and director are all kind and loving. The materials provided, the loving atmosphere, the ever changing and interesting subject matter equals a most positive enviornment. Our daughther loves to go to school has done incredibly well both socially and intellectually. We recently applied to 4 private first grades and she was accepted to all 4 programs - - we accredit the ELC to much of her success. We believe in this program and teachers greatly and will be sending our next child there beginning in September.
