The school is great for a sitter type thing to give parents a break 2-3 mornings a week. The teacher is very old school and does not engage the children during directed learning (circle time). There is only a very limited knowledge of the brain development of young children. 2-3 0r even most 3-5 year olds do not have the brain development to understand numbers, dates, and calender. During my visit the children were expected to sit for a whole 45 min circle time. This is not good pedology for young children. The longer they must sit the more they begin to resist or loss interest. The class and play areas do not have a rotating curriculum, and many areas have too many things. there is no variety to the room only one small area changes monthly. The office and storeroom are cluttered and an earthquake hazard. Many areas are dusty and unused. like the science area. I would recommend parents choose instead the Deer Valley High School preschool or the Los Medanos College Child Development Center both have a higher quality program with similar tuition costs and hours of program.

This coming Fall will be my son's second year at SoBig Coop Preschool. I absolutely LOVE it their. Ms. Mary is wonderful and makes everyone feel so welcomed. The actual school is so amazing and has everything you could possibly dream of for your child to entertain their imaginations. My daughter will also attend this school when the time comes...
