We've had 2 children at Peter Pan Mariner Square from 5 months old through Pre-K. We could not be happier with the program, and as a dual career family finding quality child care we trust has made our lives easier. The teachers at Peter Pan are loving and caring and instill just the right balance of structure and discipline while still creating a fun environment. The Director is attentive, involved and helpful. The facility has everything you could want for 0-5 year olds. There's also significant parent involvement we did not see at our another program, frequent family events and parties help instill a sense of community. The care at Peter Pan is age appropriate and becomes more academic in the 3 year old and Pre-K room, even though the philosophy is still play based. We have full confidence that our children will be beyond-ready for Kindergarten academically and behaviorally. The only area I have ever found less than ideal is the food. The menu is probably fine for most parents but I have very high standards and would prefer less processed foods. However they have made efforts to add healthier things to the menu and allow parents to provide food or drinks.
Peter Pan is a wonderful, loving, play based daycare and preschool. The facility is great, everything is set up for small children including batherooms, tables, chairs etc. The playground is awesome full of slides, playhouses, cars, a big sandbox, water tables. The staff is loving, and provide structure and routine for the children. My son has thrived at Peter Pan over the last 4 years- we feel fortunate he is able to be here while we work!
My daughter has been at Peter Pan Preschool for 6 months now. She had attended a different preschool before and had a really hard time adjusting. She would cry every single time I dropped her off and would even have to be pulled out of my arms. It was awful. But all of that changed at Peter Pan. She loves going to school everyday now and even told me "I love Ms. Sonia so much!" Whenever I go to pick her up, she is so happy and having such a great time. There are always fun activities going on. They had pony rides and pictures, Cinco de Mayo celebration, bake sale, pajama days and they are even having a Mother's Day party. They know exactly how to keep the kids engaged and happy to be there. The teachers are amazing. And Ms. Julie the director is incredible. She remembers everyone's names and schedules and is so friendly and nice to talk to. Moving my daughter to this school has been the best decision I could have made. The kids who attend here are great as well. They play so well together. I constantly have little 3 year olds running up to tell me that they like my daughter. They are so sweet and well behaved. I couldn't be happier.
Don't fall into their fake smile. Watch out! Make sure every request from you are well documented. Also be firm not to accept their nice offer if you are ready to withdraw your kid. The most important go find another place has less children per class. Peter Pan schools are no longer as the great place for young kids as before they were sold. At least a few of us found our kids are not well taking care of at there. Also those hidden policies. We are must happier after going to another preschool.
When I first started looking for a program for my son to attend, I knew exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a program that would stimulate my son to learn but also provide him a structured environment. And that is what I found with Peter Pan. My son started attending Peter Pan when he was two and then moved on to the Peter Pan Academy. When my daughter turned two there was no question as to where she would go to school. The teachers - and the director, Miss Julie, are absolutely marvelous. I will miss them dearly when my daughter moves on to the Academy!
Our daughter is in the pre-K program which is wonderful. They provide a very balanced academic with social experience. The director and teachers are amazing - you can feel the energy as you walk into the preschool. I highly recommend this school!
