Union Station Child Care1

The staff is not attentive and have very poor standards of cleanliness. When you walk in a room of infants crying their heads off with snot running down their faces and the young lady is sitting in the rocking chair giggling on her cell phone, something is wrong. If you think it s great they serve your school age child breakfast think again. 6oz of cereal or 3 french toast sticks with NO option for seconds is not enough for any child to last on until lunch. You are charged supply fees and each family, for each child is required to donate snacks for the entire daycare at least once a month. In my opinion they are hiring young inexperienced staff. Other mothers and myself have all pulled our children from this program recently as there are better solutions for childcare. Do your homework; the safety and development of your child should come first.
My children have attended The Union Station for many years, and is the cleanest school in the area. The Owner and Director are outstanding people with the best morals and intentions for the children. The teachers are very friendly and helpful. My child was more than ready for Kindergarten because their preschool program is outstanding. I would recommend this center to anyone
My children have been going here for about 2years now. They went to 2 other daycares before they came here, the other 2 places were not very secure when walking in the daycares and were not clean. Union Station is clean, very secure when you come to pick your child up. If they do not know you, you will not get past the front desk. I disagree with the previous comments the owner is friendly and the director is very friendly and very helpful. I have requested to see video of my child's class and was able to watch it when I had an issue with a worker. They do have some young workers but also middle aged workers. The workers love my kids and my kids love them. We have grown fond of a few teachers there. Also they keep long term employees from what I see. Another thing that I like is that the same kids have been together for 2 yrs now and the kids that go there are not leaving they stay year after year for the most part.
The lady that owns the place is hardly ever there. If you are not up on her level she will not give u the time of day! This is the dirtiest day care I have e every seen. They have roaches in several rooms!! They will not fix anything and when they get wrote up from DHS they write up the staff for it , and the staff has told them more then 30 times. The owner will not buy anything to help run the day car or for art supplies. Food wise they have the same menu every month one week u the something and the next week u have something and then they go back to the week before. The owner is very unfriendly to the staff and she really likes to hire teenagers 18-25 yrs old, that has never worked in a day care before. I would not send my child there to be watched by teeny bopper that cares less about my child and is only there for a paycheck !! Needless to say the office manager is exactly the same way. You no way to get ahold of them when you need supplies are need to go to the bathroom, they are always in the office gossiping about the employers! They have not had the same teachers in the Last yr. and that is only 8 that have stayed with them. The whole place is Very unfriendly .
My daughter got staff infection from this daycare in her privates. I personally witnessed them using the same gloves to change multiple children. I believe it all starts with the lady whom runs this daycare. She is not usefull to say the least. My children will not be back there nor will they be around any children that go there. It is sad that I have to quarantine my children b/c of the place we trusted to care for them.
