My daughter has been at CDL for over a year, in the toddler class (now transferring to a multi-age preschool class). We are very happy with the school. The teachers are very professional and cordial. The environment is nurturing, and the kids are happy, respectful, calm and socially active. From the educational point of view, the children are exposed to a variety of educational activities in a play-based setting. We feel that our child has learned quite a lot since enrolling there. As the other reviewer mentioned, the environment is not very high-tech, but there are lots of hands-on activities and learning opportunities. The teacher-student ratio is the lowest I've seen at a day-care / preschool, in part because they have access to inexpensive (but highly skilled!) university students, who earn course credits by assisting in classrooms. At times, the child-adult ratio in the room is 2:1 or even below. Many of the families are university faculty and stuff, all value education. Communication between teachers and families is superb: daily feedback at drop-off / pick-up times, weekly newsletters, by-weekly photo-albums, regular and on-request parent-teacher conferences.
