Crooks!!!! Do not send your child here unless you want to be ripped off and slapped in the face. Heather the owner/operator refused to refund our 315 dollars after we told her we would be moving and our child would no longer be able to attend. There is a waiting list for this preschool, and she still would not provide us with a refund. We asked if we could gift the "spot" to someone we know and she said that this was "unacceptable". I smell a peoples court....
After arriving a few minutes early to pick my three year old up from Acorn and finding him in the play yard by himself. I could no longer allow him to attend. When addressing my concerns to Heather, the owner/operator. I felt her to be condescending. She had agreed, considering the circumstances, to refund my deposit but later refused. I advise all to stay clear of Acorn.
My grandson has been at this preschool since he turned two years old. When he first came to live with us he wasn't speaking, eating like a two year old. And had many other social cancerns now it is March and boy what a different child he is today. He talks so much and is always counting and saying his ABC's and he has only been at this school for 8 month. I will say the staff in room 6 have been so helpful for me and my grandson. I also know it takes school and families to work together to change the life of a child. Acorn preschool and Pre-K classrooms staff don't get the credit they should. It takes a special person to work with this age of children all day and teach them on top of it.I only wish we all could walk in their shoes for a day.
My son went to this pre school for 2 years and it was wonderful. The curriculum is the best part. My son left pre school at the kindergarten exit level. Ms. Heather knows each child well and can point out their challenges and what they need to better succeed. thanks ms. Heather
