Enep'ut Children's Center is a rustic, loving environment that I was initially hesitant about bringing my baby too. But wow how this place grows on you! The lead teachers are wonderful. My child is told good morning and good bye everyday and everyone knows his name. Its like a cheers episode! Where do you find that kind of love? Where everybody knows your name :). lol
I'm really happy my son spends his days at Enep'ut. He loves his teachers and his always has artwork to bring home and stories to tell about his day. The preschool staff - particularly the lead teacher - is kind, patient, and always willing to talk about how my son's doing. I like the attention they pay to art projects, and I really love the themed weeks - countries of the world, the solar system, etc. My son loves Fun Fridays. It's a really nice place for little kids. I also like that parents are kept informed about what's going on with the center, as far as remodeling, training days, future plans, etc. The center has been transitioning in the past year, with a new director and new staff, so there have been the concomitant bumps in the road. I feel like they're really getting their feet back under them, and the staff is wonderful. And yes, the building is old. So is my house. That part doesn't matter as long as it's a safe, clean, welcoming place for kids and it absolutely is.
Our daughter has been with Enep'ut since she was just a few months old. She loves the place, and so do we. She has a gluten intolerance that the caregivers have dealt with carefully and cheerfully. Enep'ut has curriculum planned by its trained staff. She has regularly surprised us with the things she learns. We like the personal, family atmosphere, and we recommend you give the place a visit if you're looking for daycare.
My son s been at Enep ut for 4 years. He receives quality care given with love and patience. He has a lot of willful independence and Enep ut is a good fit. At 3 we put him in another preschool valuing perfect behavior over enthusiasm and he really suffered. Enep ut welcomed us back with love and understanding. The bad reviews should be taken with a big grain of salt. There s some fact in what was written but most of it doesn t ring true. The building is old but safe. The inside was improved a lot this year. The Director did change twice recently, but a parent who s gotten involved as a member of the non-profit would know why that was necessary and beneficial. The staff does get training and educational support. There s a good curriculum you can review weekly on the website. Enep ut isn t perfect but it s also not sponsored by a larger entity (i.e. a hospital or church) and it survives only on tuition and some small funding from grants and charitable gaming. For Enep ut to thrive instead of survive it needs involved parents who want to contribute their time and energy. Consider all the reviews, but I urge you to visit and decide for yourself whether it s right for your family.
Eneput childrens center is by far one of the most rundown centers in fairbanks. Staff is not trained at all, the director is a very headstrong woman who kicks children out for even looking different than what she thinks is ok. The curriculum is a joke and the only ting the kids learn on a regular basis is the ABCs. There is no structure whatsoever, the children are not asked to behave and the teachers have their cell phones out at all times. Bills are "due" on the first of the month but are not handed out until the 5th or 6th completley undermining the discount given if you pay your bill by the 4th. My child suffered greatly in his education while here in may 2012 and june 2012. The center was a great place in 2011 and the director at the time was a wonderful young woman full of promise who really knew what she was doing with the children and staff. I feel that now the center is unclean and unorganized and the children are just coasting through. Not happy with my service here and do NOT reccomend this center at ALL!
My child started this Day Care full time when he was almost 1. He stayed there until he was almost 2.5. I loved the family atmosfere in this house and age mixed groups. I was really happy having my child there and I think the director Shannon and her assistant were doing a great job at the time. Unfortunately, they do not have much space there, which my son at some point really needed. I had to decide to move him out to a bigger facility so he can have more opportunity to burn his energy during long freezing days. Definitely, I would recommend Eneput to all the families looking for a good day care for their infants and wobblers or older, school aged kids. They provide cooked meals, too and they have a nice playground.
