The past three years here have been really great for our kids. If you are frustrated with your "pre-school" doing more babysitting with a tv then providing any sort of educational stimulation then you will find Montessori World pretty awesome. The classroom and teachers provide a hands-on approach for the kids which is key for developing their critical thinking skills. The classroom environment is also set up to encourage independence in all aspects from choosing and completing activities, hygiene, cleaning up after themselves, etc. There are countless activities for the children to explore and there are always some great field trips mixed in throughout the year. The teachers are all well educated and have been there for years which is really great considering our previous daycare/preschools all had a high turnover rate of mostly college age kids.....yes kids! Plus they are very conscientious when it comes to nutrition. They provide healthy snacks which is a blessing considering the two previous daycares usually sent our girls home loaded on kool-aid and cookies in the afternoon....terribly frustrating. I highly recommend it.

My daughter has attended Montessori World for two years, and we've found it to be a fabulous school. The teachers are caring, dedicated and qualified. The school is true to the Montessori pricipals- giving the children a diverse exposure to all cirriculums and involving them in the world around them through music, art, foreign languages, and nature (gardening & animals). Love it!

Montessori World ia the most wonderful preschool in Mobile. The teachers are absolutely amazing. The curriculum is rich-- Spanish, German, science, math, writing, etc. The learning environment is extremely rich and full of fun and exciting activities for students to enjoy. I love Montessori World!!!!

I enrolled my son to boost his social skills and prepare him for K5. Socially he gained a lot of confidence, however, I was dissapointed in the academic structure that was presented to him. Seems that their concept at Montessori is to not pressure the children and let them 'work at their own pace', thus the children get to roam the center participating in their 'choice' of activities. Personally, if I ever let my child do their own thing at home, he would never go to sleep at night; the same concept applies to learning, hencefore I could've probably seen the same social skills develop through playgroups. Lesson Learned, read between the lines! I look forward to the K5 program having a planned daily structure and learning criteria this year and have already experienced positive results of that during his summer orientation week, he's writing his name

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
